Meet Emily – Physical Therapist, Commuter, and Family Rider

Emily doesn’t really think of herself as a cyclist—she just loves riding her bike. Whether she’s headed to work, the store, daycare, or out for a family outing, cycling is her preferred way to get around. Her goal is to ride her bike more than she drives, and a big win for her is making it through a month without using the car.

Though Emily has asthma, she doesn’t let it slow her down. Thanks to the help of Fond du Lac Cyclery, she’s got Trek e-bikes that reduce physical strain and allow her to go on longer rides – including the Trek Fetch +2 that allows her to bring her kids along with her! It’s on those two wheels that she finds a sense of freedom and a deeper connection to nature.

As a Physical Therapist, Emily believes in staying active and making fitness part of her daily life. Cycling plays a big role in that. Her kids love it too—if she shows up at daycare in the car instead of on her bike, they’re always a little disappointed!

Her children inspire her every day. They live in the moment, always seeking joy and fun. Emily takes that same approach to life, living with intention and purpose. Cycling helps her do just that, and it’s a big part of her journey.
